Editorial standards

Every guide, framework, and category page on NameGeneratorTools follows the same editorial process. These standards exist so readers can trust what they read and so contributors know exactly what is expected.

What qualifies a topic for publication

  • It addresses a naming decision a real operator is actively making.
  • It can be argued from first principles, working examples, or measurable patterns — not opinion alone.
  • It has lasting relevance: we publish evergreen frameworks, not seasonal hot takes.
  • It does not duplicate an existing page on the site. Coverage gaps are filled by expanding the relevant guide, not adding a near-duplicate.

Sourcing and verification

We cite primary sources where available: brand books, founder interviews, USPTO filings, registrar data, and platform documentation. Patterns drawn from observed brand behavior are described as such.

Statistics are linked to their origin. Where we generalize from a finite sample of brand names, we say so explicitly. We do not invent percentages.

Authorship and review

Articles are drafted by editors with hands-on naming experience and reviewed by a second editor before publication. Substantive updates are dated. Minor copy edits do not trigger a republish timestamp.

Corrections policy

If you spot an error, email corrections@namegeneratortools.com. We respond within five business days. Factual corrections are appended as a dated note at the bottom of the affected page; substantial rewrites are noted in the editorial changelog.
